East TN is a little rough for local work, especially given your experience. Is there anyway you can get at least a year OTR? That will open up more possibilities for you. Are you open to regional? If so, try Pemberton Truck Lines in Knoxville. I don't know if you have a enough experience to go there but it don't hurt to try. Also, try Averitt Express. They have a terminal Knoxville and the tri-cities I believe. They may have local for you.

Crete/Shaffer has the terminal Lenoir City, see if they have what you're looking for.

 

Linde has openings in Loudon I think.

 

Have you tried any dump truck companies around the Greenville Tn area?
Some will hire with little or no experience.
That would get you in the door and get a year or two experience and then you could move on up to bigger and better opportunities.

 

@Bumper - what's the name of the furniture hauling company in that area?
