So I am looking for a CDL job recently, I respond to an add for Migway Inc out of Pineville North Carolina. I'm sure plenty of people have heard of them. I call and talk to a recruiter, of foreign dialect, but he is in Pineville he tells me, so okay. Alot of companies out source their recruiting and besides he tells me he is in Pineville. Oops. Man did I #### up. So I accept a position with this company, OTR, Independent Contractor. 65cpm plus bonuses. Nevermind the absolute nightmare I endured getting there. Orientation day, I walk in the shop/drivers lounge. I introduce myself. I get a stare......this dude doesn't speak English. I proceed to sit down and it turns into little Ukraine in this Drivers lounge. Not a single person speaks English. I am literally watching a TV show in a different language. WTF!!?? Orientation proceeds, now comes in a girl who speaks broken English and a guy that I can at best describe as King Phony, y'all know the type. Real big on threats, being phony, if you don't like it get out of here type of guy. We start Orientation, surprise, not .65cpm at all, unless you run over 3,000 miles in 5 days. I think, okay, that's not unacheievable. Then they offer us a Comdata On Road Card, I say, I want my pay direct deposited. Nope, they don't do that. You can transfer the money into your bank account, it's super easy blah blah blah. So I say, OH, just an easy way for you to screw us over, gotcha. Get assigned a truck. It's a complete piece of ####. Volvo garbage. Now this is where it gets fun. Go out on my first load, 900 miles, due the next day. I get the load there, on time, glance at my ELD, surprise, it has a fresh clock. Funny, I didn't sleep yet or remember taking a 10. Get assigned a new load, 800 miles. I tell them, not going to happen, I'm going to sleep for a bit, I will get it there when I get it there. You're forcing me to run illegal. I know, all the HARDCORE TRUCKERS are saying what a steering wheel holder. My reply is simple, then don't read this. So I manage 3 weeks of being threatened, etc. I get home completely exhausted and literally collapse. I get taken to the ER, get admitted. You have a Pulmonary Embolism. Get to stay in the hospital, the whole time the company is acting like they are on my side. I get released, go home, have to take medicine. This is 5 days now. I have to go get released by my Doctor, which I am given 2 more days off to complete my medication and then I can be released. This is on payday by the way, I had gotten paid that morning. So I inform my dispatcher, who is in Serbia by the way, I will be able to return Wednesday. No problem he says. I go to spend money at the pharmacy, SURPRISE, my pay has been canceled. Now here I am $2200 gone, no money, and being threatened that if I tell the truth, they will come after me. My hope is that some of y'all looking into this company will read this and find better things to do, but if you decided to drive for them, you have been warned.

65 cpm as an independent contractor? Next level ugly. I see Migway trucks all the time. Nice looking trucks. What seduction techniques were used to get you to agree to work at that rate of pay? My curiosity looms........

Waaaayyyy too many red flags here. More like land mines, I would have done a 180 after the first load.

Welcome to TTR. A simple search would've told you that they are basically a rebadged SuperEgo.
From what I've read, that 3k miles a week won't happen. You'll get to 2,800 & then there's no freight.
What was the allure to make you get behind the wheel after sitting in a room where no one speaks English?
The recruiter should have been enough to make you hang up & move on.
Where are you located? Plenty of helpful folks here to point you in the direction of a better job.
