I don’t know if it’s getting older and crankier, or wiser, but just did the fastest hiring and firing I’ve done in forever. Young man, late 20’s, articulate, smart, hard working, kept himself busy on the first a day of work; nothing but promise. Late on the second day, no show on the third.
So now I’m going to invest in this seventeen year old that’s never done a lick of work in his life. Great attitude, lots of enthusiasm and eagerness….. but reminds me of blowing up a balloon and letting it fly going pppphhhhhhtttt in crazy circles until it runs empty. Quickly, lol. Not the common sense that God gives mice. The stamina of a three month old pup. Lord, grant me the patience to teach this kid to work and plant some sense into his knot head….. ‘Cause, darn it, someone needs to, or he’ll end up like the last one I fired, and the kid deserves a real chance.
Good thing he’s willing to work cheap while he is getting broke in, cause my antacid bill is about to go up, lol.

Boy not me! A W900L with a flattop sleeper to me is as good as a Kenworth can look unless it's a W900A.

IMO, proportions are everything.
Often an L or 359, 379, 389 extended hood with a small bunk doesn’t look proportioned correctly. Add some bunk length, or subtract hood length, and it changes. Wheelbase factors in also.
A B, standard hood A, or standard hood 359, with a little bunk and moderate wheelbase look awesome. Another one that really looks good with a small bunk is a standard hood 379 that has had a little big hood conversion.
On the T600, T800, 386 genre of trucks I generally prefer a smaller bunk, once again I think because of proportions.
Wheelbase isn’t always longer is better when it comes to looks.
My truck is a standard hood, 36” bunk, and with a 278” wheelbase it almost looked too long. I think 250-260” would be about perfect. On an extended hood with a 63” I think 280-290” is about perfect.
Remember, everything I just typed is opinion.

I agree with @Oldman83 too much wheelbase can detract from overall looks. When I see a lot of frame rail it makes me think he’s saving up for a bigger sleeper unless he’s hooked to a skateboard then I just assume he probably does a good bit of work that requires a lot of hangover to the front. Long hood 36 inch bunk 230-240 wheelbase is my definition of a sexy girl. KW aerodyne cabover about 200 inch wheelbase is my idea of a chubby girl that I can’t resist.

Something that most of y’all don’t care about because it don’t matter. A B comes with a larger radiator. So it has practical value to me as well.
Also an L has a slight slope to the hood. A B does not. That’s why I prefer the look. But I will agree proportions do matter for looks.Feedman, cke, High Stepper and 7 others Thank this. -
Flat glass matters

I’ve said multiple times if I could order one new truck, it would be a B model before they go away.
That wide grille, short, flat hood, flat glass, 42” modular bunk, 265-275”” wheelbase, 605/2,050, 18 speed, Super 40’s with 3.25 ratio, full lockers, 5” drop steer axle, and lo pro 22.5’s. Since we’re dreaming, I’d have the money to big hole it, and get rid of the daylight doors.

It’s just crazy that a truck like I’d like costs more than our house, barn, small shop, and 20 acres cost 10 years ago.
