Who would you buy from?

Yes, that is nice when they use the tape to protect the radio. I guess it had the plastic film on it from the factory, I just couldn't see it. For some reason the video has been removed.

How did the radio work out from Scott’s radios.

 

I use bobs CB in PA on I-80. Been using him since I bought a Ranger 2950 in ‘96. Got a cobra 29 night watch he did in 2000 that’s in the side cabinet and am currently using a general lee I bought 8 years ago.

 

I know this is an old thread, and that this is self-promotion, but take a look at DTB Radio in Carlisle, PA. In business for over 28 years, recommended by Galaxy as an out-of-warranty repair location for their radio line, A+ BBB rating, and 4.5+ star rating on Google.

 

I called into his shop on the back of an independent truck stop seemed like a genuine guy was very helpful and even offered the initial check of a radio free of charge.

 

Like it has been said Bell's is a great shop. And the Dodge city CB shop over by the Petro in Alabama has been a go to for years around here

 

Anyone who can show no over or under modulation after rx and tx tuning and finals upgrade. Bells out of Tampa is good..

Like 90% of people you hear bragging about big power on the road sound bad and bleed to adjacent channels. The ones who put dynamic mics on condenser mic radios are the most hilarious, because they are usually talking trash as they under modulate and have bad SNR that halves their power..

If you buy from a truck stop just get the Cobra. Clean signal and with a condenser mic it can do 8W peak on a bird meter..

Stryker 955 is good stock if your fuse can handle it. Tuners who sale them typically lie about changing components just so they can mark it up.. Clean signal and around 100W peak stock.. When people do mod them they typically bleed over..
