Winterflower96. Pm directly if you'd like. I have experience or know people with both companies. Dang post turned into a controlled substance lecture instead of what the OP asked.

Maybe I should've been more clear. I smoked that stuff daily for 15 years so I guess that's kinda social cause I didn't do it alone very often.

Weed is not chemically addictive like alcohol and other drugs are. Physically or mentally addictive is really a choice. Not saying it's super easy to choose not to do it but it's still just a choice and it's not anywhere near the same level of quit that alcoholics and addicted drug users have to go through to quit.

Well, try telling someone who's mentally addicted that , "oh, it's not so bad", when mental addiction is just as bad as physical addiction. While your body craves that physical addiction, a mental addiction can actually be worse. There is little compassion for someone trying to quit a mentally addictive substance. Whether one likes it or not, weed is here to stay, and we'll just have to mold our society around it. Look at the great drivers we lost, because of what is considered today as "not so bad after all", and what drivers replaced them. They can pee clean, but run their trucks into stopped traffic. Pixx( pun intended) poor.

Then you should have shown up a month and a week earlier to answer part of his question.

The other part of his question, begged for a discussion of controlled substance and lecture, because he didn't know the answers he needed to cover his butt, which those of us that were discussing it, informed him of. So don't be so critical of the help he was given when you only read half of his question and were even later responding to it. :)

Thanks for the clarification. The switch between being a social user and addict, doesn't have a defined time, amount or duration metric...which is why most programs that help addicts, depends on them to identify their addiction.

I know both addicts and socials, and most times find myself being the person having to explain/admonish a social user, why an addict can't "just get it together and quit". Their understanding and limit for pain, is not the same for the addict, which is why they are so bewlldered why the addict can't quit. Don't get me wrong, I'm not making an excuse for why the addict has trouble quitting, just explaining WHY it's so difficult for them. That's also why, when they're ready to quit, it takes calling on a power, greater than themselves, to help them because their own efforts to quit on their own, failed.

If I seem overly hard, I apologize. It's just that, the serious nature of driving an 80k lb. plus vehicle, like piloting an aircraft full of passengers, is something that I take very seriously. Our permissive society doesn't understand the need to be clear about maintaining the standards needed to keep the industry clean, regardless of what less rigorous jobs may require of their employees. Someone getting paper cuts in an office, I could care less if he imbibes, but if he drives an 18 wheeler...then I get real concerned. It's bad enough we have to deal with them when they're driving 4 or 2 wheels. :)
