Some sand you have to be clean for also, golf course loads, like best sand, and top dress sand you have to be clean for, they have fire hose to clean out with though. Dry sand you need to be clean and dry for, you also need to have your tarp and gate certified as tight.

There are women over here pulling end dumps, I’m 56, still in reasonably decent shape, hopefully at the end of summer I will be a few pounds lighter.
My wife loves to remind me I’m not 20 something anymore. -
For some reason I was thinking you were about my age. I'll be 65 in a few months and thinking about going back to flatbed,or not lol.
Friend, runningman0661 and Lonesome Thank this. -
The quarry we run out of normally, was having their loader serviced so they used the "backup" CAT 980. The issue was, the on-board scale wasn't working, so everybody seemed to be dumping off the extra. My trailer has a high lift gate so it's pretty easy to raise it between 2 & 3 stage and shovel it off.Friend, RStewart, hotrod1653 and 3 others Thank this.

As another week comes to an end I had a pretty productive week. After getting empty on Monday in Calvert City, Kentucky they bounced me up to Evansville, Indiana to pick up a load of (shred) going to a steel mill in Pittsboro, Indiana. Delivered that the same day.
Then I bounced to St. Louis and spent four days doing barge work. Basically hauling loads off of barges in various River ports around the St Louis area to a storage facility. Short round trips averaging about 10-12 miles. When doing this barge work you get paid a percentage rate. You start about 0700 until the barge is unloaded, most days we were done between 1600-1700.
Two positives things I took from this was, dump repetitions, each day I dumped between 7-9 times a day. So in four days, I got a months worth of dumping. And with the current cost of fuel in four days I burned 3/4 of a tank of fuel.
This morning I loaded at a rock quarry in Terre Haute going to the town I live in Florida for a Monday morning delivery. I will get to spend tomorrow at the house as a bonus. I’m not scheduled to be home until next weekend. My daughter is coming into town from San Diego for Easter.
My check won’t be as good as last week, but I should still net over $3800. -
I’ve delivered to the place in your town in the past, kind of small but doable, as always just take your time

I go in there all the time to shop, literally the stone I’m hauling is the stone we have around our pool. I called them today to make sure I’m delivering to the main location and not there other location which has a lot more room. He said “yep, it delivers to this location” doesn’t seem big enough to get in there with a 40ft trailer. Do you actually back up to the bin or dump in front of the bin?hotrod1653, Lonesome, M22 rockcrusher and 2 others Thank this.
-
If I recall, you back in to the bin. It’s been some years, and I’m assuming it’s Pineland off of 90? I guess I shouldn’t have just assumed that.
M22 rockcrusher, runningman0661 and Friend Thank this. -
You live in Florida? I live south of Jacksonville and I’m in Arkansas going to orientation Monday at Bruce Oakley. I’ve been reading your threads . Keep them coming
Thanks Michael -
Will do, going to try and post weekly updates. Which division are you going into? Feel free to add your perspective here once you go through orientation.
