If you have to reach out to the integrity hotline or HR make sure you do it before anything goes down.
You guys are coworkers not combatants. Being a new guy sucks and maybe ya gotta earn the respect of the senior guys but jeez..
It's supposed to be a brotherhood.
    Don't engage you'll be fine

    As always CYA.

PS I just had breakfast w 12 other drivers,ex-drivers and former coworkers this morning. We mostly don't hate each other..lol

Good luck and hope you can tough it out.

Put your application in to Toyota. It’s possible they may be hiring again. None of that nonsense here.

I'll just say its on the west coast.
Thanks, buddy. I dont think I'm going anywhere. I'm researching other terminals. My Boss(?) knows. He said He might be able to arrange a small tour where I might be able to go down to another terminal and work there for a bit to see if I'll like that facility.

lol I had to leave Coleman. There just wasn’t any work. It was so bad that last summer we sat over 4th of July weekend. I couldn’t afford to work 3-4 days a week, and maybe do 35-43 hours a week tops. Too expensive around here to raise a family on that pay.

Nearly 4 months after retiring from Linde I find myself contemplating a job offer I received yesterday.
I may have to start a new sub-forum:
    Entertainment Transportation

Back story..For 5 years 1987-1992 I drove for a S.F. based outfit that did concert tours, Broadway shows etc.

By the end of April I will run mostly team cross country, city to city, 1 trip at a time.
    Solo when directed.
I will have the option to fly home or remain in a hotel till each event concludes then fly back in or depart from venue if I have stayed.
The plan is for me to start working with the NBA playoffs and finals.
They also do the NHL and big wrestling shows. In addition any televised event or concert.
I will be moving video and production trailers. Big power rigs and million dollar trailers. These are where producers monitor the game cameras and direct which picture is fed to any given network showing the event.
Only about 2/3 pay that I retired from but hotels and meals are paid. This is the kind of gig guys retire from.

a leading mobile television production company that provides state-of-the-art production units and technical support for major live broadcasts, including major sporting events (like the Super Bowl, World Series, and NBA Finals), concerts, and political conventions.

I never thought much about the TV broadcast of a major event. But say a major golf tournament

Very interesting. Will you have to help set up equipment or just park the trailer where they need it?

    I believe they just drive.
Previous experience leads me to believe that technicians do all the electrical connections and wiring hookups to allow all units to sync.
Back in the day they would pay drivers 15 bucks an hour under the table to be "runners"
To get parts, run errands or pick up snacks or food but catering is on site, provided for most. Don't know if any of that still happens.

Yeah, I actually spoke with Ben Cote over at Game Creek Video back in November. They want lots of 13-speed manual experience because they've already had issue with automated trucks not backing smoothly and tearing off broadcasting stuff on the trailers is what was mentioned to me. I'd take it in a heartbeat because I've driven for summer professional marching band, The Cavaliers Drum Corps, the last few summers and wanted to continue in entertainment transportation. But, ultimately I was declined...I hardly have any 13-speed experience.

    Dennixx Thanks this.
