Depending on the wife, some of us might opt for four dogs over dragging the wife out on the road. Now, if you have a good wife, that’s a different story.

It's easy to get 4 good dogs, I don't know anyone that's gotten 4 good wives?

How much does the insurance cost per dog? Does it depend on the dog's weight or other factors? I personally think that is the way to go in the USA nowadays. A simple illness can balloon costs out of control in little time.

It is around 70 per dog per month (CAD).That is for our lab and golden, It is dependent on size and breed. Some breeds are more prone to some issues and cost more. We use trupanion. Don’t know if they are down your way. It has paid for itself a few times over with the cancer treatments on our now passed basset beagle mix. It was well over 10 thousand all told. The insurance paid the vet directly, so no paying and chasing to get reimbursed.

    Oh no! I've been exposed!

Well done on the background check. I won't post here anymore, so you can focus more time on reading everyone else's post history.

Sorry for bothering you and for posing questions that you weren't able to take at face value. Hope that you find a quieter forum from now on.

As for the momma's basement comments, yeah I've been reforesting the upper slopes of the Amazon in northern Peru for the past six years with my own resources, providing working models for alternative land use for smallholders that aren't based on extraction, but minor details, right?
And then people wonder why forums are dying as people use AI more and more.

so you could figure out what to do with your wife and dogs for four years while you were in Peru, but can’t figure out what to do with them while you drive a truck in the USA?

I’ve never met so many used to be Dr’s, Lawyers, engineers, etc… until i drove a truck. Smh
