Nope ain’t no way a driver for an outfit like that only drives. Knew a driver that was on a race team once as a “driver.” He said once the brakes were set the real work began! So after talking to him and the average day the pay just wasn’t worth it unless you are just a race finatic.

Funny this side of the industry has come up, I parked right next to a game creek truck on Monday in Las Vegas.

But I'm hired PT to drive. When a solo can't make the turn based on HOS.
I fly in and fly home when done.
If they need labor they won't get it from a PT retired driver like me.
Mother may have raised ugly children but not idiots.

Nascar hauler drivers also used to or maybe still do service their equipment. The nascar circuit would be a grind. I'm a fan of the sport but no way I'd want that job no matter what it paid. Never go home for 30 some weeks out of the year, no thanks!

Back in the day we typically stayed out all season..9 months.
I was fortunate enough to live in the twin cities so most tours made a stop and I could run home for a day.
