Silly question, how often do truckers shower?

i have thought about this Portable Washing Machine, Compact, Small, Mini,Clothes Washer

 

yes showers are still free on the ohio turnpike i would suggest avoiding the old plazas though

 

Man, Once a month....No wonder truckers have such a nasty rep. I shower everyday and when I hauled flatbed sometimes twice a day. If for some reason I could'nt get to a shower, a few bottles of water,soap, a large bowl, wash clothe and towel are always handy too keep in the bunk. Baby wipes are for babys, not grown ups. That is so funny.

 

The longest I have been was almost 2 weeks. I was getting into an airfreight loop that required me to keep a 53 mph average in a 65mph truck. Me and my co-driver where both new to trucking and didn't have the guts to stand up to this. Where where made to re-coupe our hours at shippers and everything was drop-n-hook. At the 2 week point I was kicked out of a Petro bathroom for trying to give myself a 'bird bath' as I call it. Shirt off and wiping down with a cloth at the sink I'm a guy, no (oYo)'s, so no one should be offended right? They where convinced I was homeless.

Fast forward to now. I honestly get one about 4 days a week. Sometimes more when I am actually sleeping a a truck stop. But on the off days its all about the baby wipes. Also I carry about 4 gallons of water with me and have actually used that to wash my hair in a rest area on bad nights when I'm offending myself. Again I'm a guy, short hair.

 

whenever your eyes water from your own smell.....about every other day on average , every third day at the most and definitly when momma tells you too, isn't that right Boots..............

 

I'm allergic to water. Actualy as often as I can.

 

So your saying something that clean up baby poop can't clean an adult???? That is funny when ignorance comes into play. Also there are wipes made for adults, same thing, different name.

 

I can't sleep unless I've taken a shower.I start obsessing and freaking out when it's been more than 24 hrs.Taking a shower is a major part of my daily trip planning.Some of these 'fellow truckers' seriously gross me out and make me wanna puke.

 

In regards to the Ohio turnpike, yes the plazas all have free showers.
There is a separate facility for truckers when you enter from the side where trk parking is. There is a sink and toilet in each private shower area.
Just bring your own towel and soap.
