A lot of untimely demises occur on these road and majority of them are caused by inattentive driving or driving too fast for conditions.
So many fatalities happen annually on these roadways. Stay safe out there, family

It is a shame, however, we must remember that truck driving is one of the most dangerous professions, like right below astronauts, military and farmers. To be clear, this is nothing new, drivers were killed all the time, it just never came to our kitchen tables every day. We knew the risks, and every death we'd hear about, was a stark reminder of just what could happen. I was lucky, in all my millions of miles, I rarely, if ever, saw a serious accident. Heard all about them on the CB radio, or some big blotccch on the highway where one was, but never actually saw too many. I think statistically, these crashes are still relatively rare, considering the miles traveled, but with cameras everywhere, we just hear about everyone.
