Not a fantasy, its hard to imagine their doing anything else when I see them stick a rolled bill in their nose and snort something, but if YOU honestly dont think there aren't truckers on drugs out there your out of your mind
Possible dumb question

Keeping it simple, MVR has nothing to do with it, behavior and risk do.
Insurance companies look at a lot of factors and build their risk tables from actual events.wis bang and brian991219 Thank this. -
I would be very careful moving forward and consult your doctor and do as much research as possible!!! Ive never had it happen nor do I know if it is true but I have herd about rd side drug screens from DOT so be very careful….
-
I wouldn't doubt it one bit if that were true, I am doing as much research as possible thank you

Well, I appreciate your well informed answer as well, look to ME it DOES sound stupid, if i was a company owner and YOU came in and asked to drive a machine that costs 100s of thousands of dollars, not including trailers, the actual load being hauled, upkeep, maintenance, diesel and overhead (im not a business owner so I dont know REAL numbers, BUT im assuming its...ALOT) while on drugs...regardless of my own premise...I may not laugh you out of office, BUT I'd probably give some real sage advice (as you fine folk have done) but reality is my friend from the time I STARTED getting this process, I asked EVERYONE along the way, drs, mros, the school I went to, even the dmv, because even though I was getting "yes pain medication is NO PROBLEM" I still felt funny, hell honestly I've even had a an oilfield job hauling water for a few months, had to quit that unfortunately because they absolutely did not have enough work for me at the time, but I never hid anything from anyone and for awhile it was working out GREAT...until it wasn't, I was even supposed to start with a certain states DOT had a start date, was honest with them, and they said it didn't matter my cdl was in my hands on and on, until it DID matter 3 days before my start date, so i dont know...its pretty ####ed up, how well everything worked for me at first, then didnt...but thank you for your time

Your situation is too risky for a trucking co. It's too easy for a lawyer to find your past and sue your co. (in case of accident) Plenty of clean applicants out there. Just sayin'
Sons Hero, rollin coal, Speedy356 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Many OTR trucks are better outfitted but they can only fit in about 5% of all parking spaces between here and there. Not only do both customers try as hard as possible to prevent the transfer from happening, but your company will be telling whatever customer they speak with YOU are the reason the load is late, probably because you overslept. You'll be trying to fix the problems all 3 parties created for you and they'll be telling you to do more as they put obstacles in your way.
-
You saw them do this in their truck or you assume everyone at a truck stop is a truck driver? "Let me NOT use this private area with no visibility to the public, called a sleeper, but let me crack open my kit and go where I can be witnessed by a hundred drivers who are also drug-tested and can call my company and get me fired before tomorrow." Uh huh. Did you also hear cops at a lunch counter talking about all the innocent people he's had locked up just because they could?Sons Hero Thanks this.
-
I don't get what you are really asking.
If you are asking "should I?" I would say no.Sons Hero Thanks this. -
Yes you're a liabilty. Why would any sane employer risk their company on you when they could have their pick of clean drivers with clean records? Your perfect record means zero when you're in an accident and the trial lawyers discover your real background and you get trashed before a jury of your peers for gaming the system to get a prescription for methadone.
