Inflation systems

I had two trailers with the Hendrickson Tire Max inflation system 2016 and 2022. They were only to air a system up and not deflate any air. In 2023 when I ordered another trailer I had the option of getting a Hendrickson Tire Max Pro for several hundred dollars more than the Tire Max. The Pro also let air out when the tires warmed up. I got the Pro system because it seemed like a great upgrade to me. Not sure about your system but that option is currently available on Hendrickson systems.

 

I guess we have different ways of doing things then. I believe a more consistent pressure helped in my operation and thus opted for the system that kept a more constant pressure. In my opinion some extra pressure was good but in my tires that didn’t let air out in 90&100 degree temps they had way too much air in them according to my TPMS. I only have one year of use with the new system but all tires seem to wear better than the other two trailers.

 

I track and document tire wear religiously and can only speak from my point of view. If I order another trailer it will have the Tire max Pro.

 

Tire Max Pro you set the initial pressure and the max pressure.
Factory setting is 10 PSI over initial before it starts bleeding off.
If you just raise the initial above factory you have to raise the max also or it will add/bleed air all the time.
