I want to get away. I feel stuck in life, 25 nothing but dead end jobs in my area, no wife no kids, still with parents but they are very supportive and great. I found a passion for driving trucks when I was an emergency tow operator, loved the job but not the on call part, I was honestly on my toes all the time and it was stressful. But anytime I got a long haul 300-400 miles one way, geez I was sure happy! I loved it! (These where de rated truck btw, no cdl needed) so I resigned from the company for no longer wanting to be emergency on call.
Now I want my cdl, I know I can pay for it but I like the security of company provided because I’m nearly guaranteed a job afterwards.
I feel like I’d enjoy otr, as long as I could bring a dog along to help with loneliness.
I’m not looking to be rich I just want a career that I can somewhat happily do.
So the point of this post is I am looking for companies that provide cdl training in or within a reasonable distance from southwest Virginia, I don’t want to get on a dang plane. I’m not sure what kind of home time I want but I think I’m willing to live in the truck.
    Criteria:
    Allows pets after completion.
    No mandatory team bullcrap training.
Prefer no inward cameras but will accept it.
I’m anti social so the shorter the training the better.
Preferably dryvan at first but open to others.
    Hires VA residents.
    Cdl provided
Training within reasonable distance from SWVA.

OK, you make this easy. No plane though. Some companies will furnish a bus ticket or a rental car.
All the ones I list provide transportation to the school, plus meals and lodging.
All companies listed have a pet policy.

    How many pets -- & what kind(s)?

If one or more dogs -- what breed(s) -- & how much does each weigh, approx?

Some starter fleets allow pets -- others don't.

Some allow a pet -- but with certain criteria or restrictions.

Some will require a pet deposit fee -- & some won't.

All the companies I listed allow the pet dog; otherwise I wouldn't have listed them.
Also, you'll make more money pulling reefers than pulling dry vans, because you'll get more miles, longer runs, better accessorial pays.
