Welp. New clutch. Turned flywheel. Remanned transmission. Adjusted the angle of the front differential to sit more level. (It was at a slight angle for some reason. Previous one did too.) Noise is much better but there is still something there and I don't want to tear up more expensive parts. Not sure what else to do. Not sure if I mentioned it but the rear ends I swapped in when I changed the oil basically had no metal shavings. Much less than my previous trucks when I was doing regular maintenance. Any other ideas?

Have you checked the suspension ride height?

Yeah according to what I read and looked up it is in the range. Was at like 2.75". Not the easiest thing to measure for my setup.

How are the cab and motor mounts? Is the exhaust touching the cab anywhere?

Is it still doing it like before, in one gear set?

More speed related now like 65-70mph. Doesn't seem to be gear related now. Also it is much much better than the other day. The old transmission had some pretty decent wear on a few parts and some metal in the bottom. After remembering a few things and all the bad parts I have found I think this driveline has had some serious issues in the past and was very neglected. (One drive shaft is new, the nut holding the yoke on by the carrier bearing was loose, multiple bad ujoints, carrier bearing was bad, previous owner mentioned the transmission had a leak they fixed and had to fill the transmission up, rear end had a lot of play at the yoke.) I stupidly disregarded a lot of this because the price was cheap and the truck drove incredibly smooth when I was checking it out. I think the motor mounts are pretty new I will have to look. I remember thinking the cab mounts looked a bit old and maybe need replaced. I will have to look again. I don't think anything was fully blown out and metal on metal. I have had that issue in the past of really bad cab mounts and motor mounts. I am about to just pick it up in the morning and send it. I'm tired of spending money and wrenching.

Oh also the exhaust isn't touching. It did touch on my previous truck and that honestly didn't bother me. Exploding my differentials does bother me lol.

It is only 65mph and up. Little more of a whirring noise than a grinding noise now.
Cab mounts aren't great. Motor mounts look fine. I lowered the ride height in the back some. Going to run it and look for a high temperature somewhere.

About 50 miles in. No high temperatures anywhere. Trans is 100. Front differential is 90. Rear differential is 70. All I joints are 50-60. No hot wheel bearings. As I run up to 70 the noise typically gets worse. Closer to 65 it is better and less noisy. Honestly at 65 with the cruise on I don't really notice much. If it is rattling bad and I give it power it goes away. Not sure. I am gonna run all day and keep an eye on temps. Then check the differential fluid tonight.

Welp probably the final update. Pretty annoyed. Guessing I didn't need this trans so that is a lot of wasted money. But I adjusted the ride height way down. Like outside their recommend values. I'm at 2.25" and guess what....no noise. Anyone in the future if you read this. Be smarter than me and dump your air for about 5-7 seconds while driving and the noise is present, see if it goes away. I could consistently dump air for 5 seconds and the noise would stop everytime. If I would have thought of that sooner I would have saved a lot of money, time and been back to work sooner.

See what that driveline angle is now, when you get a chance
