Why do cops harass truck drivers that are shut down off ramps that are right next to truck stops?

You know there are still some good professionals out there who aren’t the type drivers we dislike. I agree with a lot of what you said and it is part of the reason I retired. I miss my rig and trucking most days, but I don’t miss the trucking of 2026, I miss the trucking of 1987-2002 or so, but that and my 20 something body are not ever coming back! In September of 1987 when I climbed up in the cab of that old worn out Consolidated Freightways Freightliner with no power steering, radio or air ride, I thought I had struck gold! And I felt that way for many years.

Right. You hear drivers complaining about restroom access at certain shippers and receiving…why was that access denied? Parking at Walmart…what happened? A couple inconsiderate pricks ruined a parking lot and now you can’t park to grab groceries.

These guys want to sit here and point fingers at cops. Without a written law cop has no authority to enforce anything. If you have to deal with a picklebrain cop, thank a picklebrain driver that brought about the law.
