Lol. Bowling alley mechanic, paid by the hour, tied to a clock like a roast in the oven.

This is the first time it’s happened now I’m kind of wondering if it has anything to do with them shutting the system down last night to update the entire system and something got lost where somebody did not commit me to the pre-plan and they gave it to somebody else or they double booked it… It’s a Walmart load… Regardless they are they gonna have something out of the Atlanta area by tomorrow morning or I’m renting a car or flying home Because I have to be home no later than 5 AM Tuesday morning to deal with the situation I have going on at the house

Well, here’s an update. The load was actually still sitting there. There was a clerical error so to speak with the paperwork, the sign in sheet the other shaffer driver signed in on the line that pertaining to my loaded trailer, so the guard thought the load was gone already… So I came back this morning and grabbed it and took off with my trailer…

One thing I sort of miss working at a mega like Shaffer. No dealing with brokers. Place I'm at because of size sometimes deal with them. More to give updates. But they seem to 100% ignore dispatch and choose to contact me instead. Even if dispatch sends them a tracking link. Even if I install one of those tracking apps. Like the other day I marked on the app I picked up the load. Not even a hour later I get a text asking if I picked it up....

Ugh it never fails. Get a good load that I cant do, they have no problem pulling it off me or getting a swap. Get a garbage load, they'll keep it on me come hell or high water! Had to deal with SE PA backroads to get to the pickup, that killed my clock, then 4 days for 1000mi and 2 stops. Only good thing I thought was the deliveries were Costco and each stop was only like 6 or 7 pallets so thought id be in and out. Nope! And to top it off still dont have a effing preplan. Initially said I couldn't make the delivery because I got like 2hrs back Thursday night, but they magically were able to reschedule no problem.
