At this point, your continued employment rests solely on what your union can do. Probably a demotion to a non-driving position, likely with a reduction in pay is probably the best you can hope for now. I think when this happened, you tried to keep it quiet, and now you are going to have to face the consequences for that choice. Be thankful you have a union; for probably 95% of the drivers here in the same predicament they'd just be fired, and probably better than half would never drive commercially again.

Pretty old thread and the OP has only responded once. Long gone.
PA has it right with DUI convictions, and your way would just put lives in danger.
Serving in the military has NOTHING to do with DUI.
