I would keep my points at a minimum, not let them build up.

My problem was "what do I spend it on?"

Very rarely did I buy any food on the road - the occasional ice cream treat. Before the cat scale app I'd use points for scale tickets and get reimbursed in cash. Afterwards, the points just kept accumulating, especially after Schneider started using pilot points to "reward" drivers.

I tell people I use them at Christmas to do my wife’s Christmas shopping. Tire thumper, 3 pack of gloves, prepackaged foods, Little Debbie cakes and a few tins of chewing tobacco.

Google voice for the win. I had a number I only used for customers, and I have a number for all the 'rewards cards' or other promotional things that require a phone number. There are ways to create email aliases.

I use mine to pay for parking. Then submit the receipt to company for reimbursement.

I had that happen to me at the Flying J in Bordentown NJ. I had been through there a week or two before. Thankfully, at almost the same time the fraudulent points redemption occurred, I had fueled in GA somewhere. Plus they were able to access the footage at both locations. Got my points back and yeah, had to get a new card. Now I keep an eagle eye on my points. I rarely use them, but they did come in handy when my Bluetooth decided it was time to depart this world.

    RebelChick,
Correct me if I'm wrong but there is no Pilot/Flying J in Bordentown, NJ. Petro and Loves only.
