Good morning and Happy Easter everyone. It has been real quiet here on the truck stop thread and I was wondering if anyone here has discovered any new truck stops during your travels or better yet some well established Mom and Pop stops?
Also has there been any progress on Dolly Parton remodel on The Tennessean? I read that she has purchased it and plans for more truck stops in the future. Thanks everyone.

The Celina 52 Truck Stop in Crossville TN is across the street from the Buc-ee's. Stop there to meet the PeeJug mascot

Since the lock is currently broken on the women's restroom door, any ladies who still insist on privacy may leave a $10 deposit at the register to check out a single 3" wood screw.
Just use the community drill on the sink to fasten the provided 2x6 securely across the door frame while you do your business.
Thank you for your understanding,

It gets real round the Celina 52 Truck Stop. Heard a few Girl Scouts were recently arrested for soliciting cookies

The Tennessean aka Dolly’s stop has at least completely paved the old gravel lot. The truck parking section near the building and fuel island is now all car parking. I’m sure once this place becomes a tourist trap, prices will become ridiculous, and it will be overrun with annoying tourists.
navypoppop, BrothaTrucka513 and Speedy356 Thank this. -
New & Underrated Truck Stops (Drivers Are Talking About)
A few spots drivers have been mentioning lately:
- Little America Travel Center
Not new, but still one of the cleanest and most driver-friendly stops out west. Big parking, good food, and showers that actually stay clean. - Sapp Bros Travel Centers
These have been getting more love lately—especially for their food and generally less crowded lots compared to the big chains. - Iowa 80 Truckstop
The “World’s Largest Truckstop” is still a classic, but they’ve added updates over time and keep things driver-focused.
These are the kinds of places drivers don’t forget:
- Russell's Travel Center
Right on I-40—super clean, free museum, and actually feels like a break from the road. - Jubitz Truck Stop
Family-owned with a full-service feel—movie theater, bar, solid food. - Small regional independents in the Southeast and Midwest are still out there—you just have to ask locals or other drivers, because they don’t always show up on apps.
As for Dolly Parton and The Tennessean Truck Stop:
- There have been reports and buzz about her involvement and plans to revamp and modernize the location
- The idea floating around is:
- Cleaner, more driver-friendly experience
- Possibly expanding into a new kind of branded truck stop concept
No major nationwide expansion or finished flagship (at least not publicly finalized).
Bottom Line
- Mom & Pop stops are still out there—you just have to hunt for them
- Chains are improving, but independents still win on personality
- The Dolly Parton truck stop project is real—but still more “in progress / developing” than fully launched
navypoppop Thanks this. - Little America Travel Center

I love stopping at the Little America/Sinclair whenever I'm out in Wyoming. I stop through to grab something to eat at the deli and maybe a lil native American souvenir for the keychain. I love stopping to the SAPP Bros out in Cheyenne as well. I-80 is full of them honey-holes.
The Sinclair up I-29 w/ the Apple Barrel restaurant is worth mentioning too because they have bidets equipped heated seats in the Men's restroom.
OAN: I appreciate the spell check on this phone. I was gonna spell a word phonetically (sue-veener).navypoppop Thanks this.
