Left the house today to go pick up in Lowell, AR going to Medley, FL. I don't remember the exact empty miles but it was a little over 100 and it's 1320 loaded.

Got my preplan on the way to the delivery this morning in Medley. I'm picking up at the same place I'm delivering to, but I can't pick up until tomorrow at 8am. I asked them if there's any chance of getting loaded today and they said it would cost me $375. No thanks, lol. Anyway, it's going to La Crosse, WI. 1674 miles.

Does Holland give referral bonuses? We’ve never met, but I figure we both worked for FCC is close enough I’ve always kept Holland in mind and I’m gonna jump. DM me or whatever works.

    Lonesome and motocross25 Thank this.

I'd love a referral bonus. However, I'm not posting here for that reason, but rather just to give everyone my perspective of working for the company. Not to mention it is against the forum's rules for me to give you referral information.

    Lonesome Thanks this.

I also failed to mention something that could be annoying for most people so I'll give you a heads up. Holland's reefers are locked in start/stop mode when set at any temperature below 20°F. When I first learned about this, I was very irritated. Turns out, I can still sleep just fine with the reefer in start stop and it almost never wakes me up. I thought I was a light sleeper, but I guess not because I'm also used to the truck starting as well. Sometimes I'll go to sleep with the truck off, wake up in the night to pee, and the truck is running. Somehow it usually doesn't even wake me up. But anyway, I feel like most people would find that thing about the reefers annoying. When it's a frozen load set at -10 in the summer though, it'll just run almost constantly anyway so at least there's that.

Okay. I wasn’t aware of the TTR rule. I start on the 20th, I’ll see if I can catch up with you later.

Lonesome, hotrod1653 and Cobrawastaken Thank this.

That’s pretty much a norm. I don’t think those tiny motors use enough to matter, last job had them on constant regardless.

That's interesting. They didn't do that when I worked at Helwig but I don't remember how it was at Swift. I think most of the trailers were never locked in start stop but that was like 7 years ago at this point so I don't remember

That is the way Holland has them set up. Tyson reefers can be set to continuous no matter what the temp is set to
