Hello, i have 80 footer cx09, everytime i use valves 13 and 12 i hear a chattering noise when using it, in the valve body. This also incompasses the problem of not being able to lift some heavy, i understand when it can lift very slow, but this time it wont even lift.i also 01070ecf-391f-46a3-8d02-8222382f7400.jpg e420b5cb-d8a7-43a1-82d8-9c46eaba71d3.jpg .

Obviously check the fluid level. Very/most likely it is getting AIR in the system. That probably has some crazy bleed sequence. What did the bores look like when you resealed the pistons? What color is the fluid and what does it look and smell like, oil analysis? Also look for anything bent or binding up.

Where is the oil coming from, looks like a leak.

The bore of the pistons looked good, no scratches nor scuffs, the fluid is actualy a dark grey color. The oil smells just like when you buy a new 5 gallon bucket of aw32. The only visual issue is the chattering coming from the vavle body, would air in the system be the cause of this ?

I am definitely not an expert “mechanically” but I have phone numbers for those who are. I will text the symptoms to my 30+year car hauler mechanic and see what he says.

As far as lifting 2500, if you have it on back top deck only you will need to lift middle deck up some to get it to start. Heavy pickups or suv’s generally wouldn’t lift with back cylinders first on mine.

We generally have to lift the middle deck on the cotrell’s before it’ll lift the back table with things like a tundra or sequoia. This doesn’t help the cause, but you never know
