All the little restrictions and taxing angles.
In Waterloo, Iowa. 1955/56, to a liquor store for a bottle.. Select and to counter. Ask the man. How much? He says,: See your book?
Me MS boy who always paid and got and went...
Received an explanation of the IA way to control drinking.
You buy a "Book", then $2.00 (Cost of printing, in no way a tax or state profit) Book is like a miniature Excel spreadsheet.
Clerk fills in date, time, quantity, and initials This to restrict you to certain volumes of purchase in a time period.
So it cost me $2.00 plus the price of he whiskey to legally buy a pint I could have got at my bootlegger in MS, any hour of day or night, no ID, for less money. -
Starting early this year.

We’re 3 weeks out I think

This was wheat and rye grass a customer had. We had 2 weeks of 80-85 degrees in March and it made this really come on. It was short but it was ready. Normally wheat is around the first of May here.
Grass will be a month or so if it makes it. We're really dry here with no chance of any rain in the 10 day forecast.Tug Toy, Rugerfan, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
We used to do wheat and vetch mixed like that.
Our good Bermuda grass is under a pivot we haven’t had to use this year but I’m gonna set the power unit soon. We got a good soaker last weekend. Supposedly have scattered storms in forecast next week we’ll see hopefully -
Good cloudy drizzly day to burn a brush pile.
