Reliance stuff went to hell in roughly 2010
I worked at an ag repair shop at the time and they had used primarily reliance stuff in the past between 2010 and probably 2015 we had constant problems with leaks I remember one deere had a leak on a gasket under the oil filter housing
I put 3 gaskets in that thing and never stopped….the 4th one I went to deere and bought with my own money because I was so sick of replacing and the boss swore up and down it was my fault or something wrong with the tractor. I put the new reliance gasket in my toolbox and after the leak was proven stopped I gave the reliance gasket back to the boss along with the receipt from deere and said your welcome…
About the same time a different mechanic at the same shop had coolant coming through the head gasket on a 806 twice before it was also proved to be faulty gasket one time it didn’t even have to be started to drip on the floor.
I rebuilt a 6/531 deere in a 6030 that my dad owns and every freaking gasket on it seeped oil since. The head gasket was the worst…. I replaced it last winter with a deere gasket and problem solved although the cylinders look like they have 8000 hours on them but only had about 2000 and I KNOW exactly how it’s been maintained.
The shop I worked for also had a 8.3 in a magnum leak water through the head gasket into the oil…..could this be your problem????
Idk if they still use reliance at all…. Have been on my own since 2018 I absolutely refuse to touch it…. I actually walked out on a job at a customer’s shop when he supplied me with that hopeless #### of an excuse for engine parts
Sorry probably more than anyone wants to know but part of this is related to the ops problem
