I had an opportunity to pre ( just have to use it within 13 months) purchase fuel mid $3 back in December. I bit on 4k gallons of non bio. Price went down for the next two weeks… boy I felt like a turd…. I used a bit of it while it was still freezing out. Separately I was able to buy %10 bio during April under anything I could get on Mudflap or NASTIC. Now I traded in my non bio for %20 at an even lower cost. I think I’m good for another 6 weeks or so? It is really helping right now because I’m on a fuel sur charge gig. But any day this gig is over then back to some potential rough rates…

This thread needs to get back on topic and stop with the political stuff. I don't want to move it to politics but I will.

Add on edit: Religion has it's own section as well. So please take those discussions over there.

She’s giving a loose leash on this one guys. This is too long of a thread to have moved. I figured that any MOD whom happened on this thread would shut it down or move it. Perhaps the duration of it is why she didn’t.
It should be preserved as others have simply for a prospective owner/operator to research in the future like broncrider’s thread did 15 years ago!

Do you physically have storage for that amount, or is it a bulk purchase of inventory you go through at their “pump” so to speak? Sorry if this is a naive question, just trying to learn more about the ins and outs of this stuff

That’s why I keep asking about fuel, admin gives us enough room with general nonsense in this thread to begin with/using it as a general chat to keep touch with everyone which is nice, and would really suck to get it locked and/or moved at this point

Paid 4.51 with discount in West plains MO today at Caseys. But Rates are staying steady above anything the last 4 years for me.

I only have a 500 gallon tank that they supply for free. The call me every once in a while and ask if I want to “buy in” on fuel. They give me a price and dates it has to be used by. Usually starts 1 month after the buy and has to be used by the end 12 months…if you agree to buy you pay %10 up front. You can use it or not any time during the period and pay the difference. If you don’t use it you forfeit the %10 money.

I’m only required to buy 1500 gallons a year to qualify for the free tank. I watch mud flap, NASTIC, cash price and get a quote every week for delivered fuel. I pick and chose what works best…. Being local mostly I just use the deliver fuel because the places with the best prices are usually not in my circle… it awfully convenient to just fuel at the shop every day but I do have limits….
My price this week is $5.19 delivered if, I wasn’t using my pre purchased fuel.

I’ve only been local for a year so still learning the ins and outs. IMG_6567.jpeg

Thanks for sharing. That’s a pretty nice setup you have there. The fuel at home will definitely offer you a time saving bonus if you’re a bit out of the way
