I've had Thermokings and Carrier trailers. Neither one would wake me up when put on start/stop, but I did notice that I felt more rested on continuous. So, I think the start stop did affect my sleep cycles negatively, just not enough to wake me up.
That said, the carrier trailers are obnoxiously loud and when put on start/stop, it can get annoying hearing it and having it shake the truck. I always wondered why Thermokings were so much quieter and why Carrier didn't use the same technology/parts that Thermoking uses so their trailers wouldn't be so loud and shake so hard when they start. Why would a company like Carrier not want to make their trailers quieter like Thermoking, that never made sense to me.
@Cobrawastaken how are you doing with the start stop on your EPU and the loud beeping noise/shaking of the truck when it starts? Are you sleeping through the night? How many times does it start and stop during the night (I'm sure it'll be more during summertime)?

The beeping when the truck starts is the inverter low voltage warning which hasn't done that since the first night I slept in the truck because I turned the beep off. I explained how to do it in a previous reply on this thread for anyone else using an EPU. I'm sleeping pretty good. Usually I sleep through it when the truck starts. It usually starts once a night when it's mild, but when you're really cranking the AC it'll start up twice a night, easily. It also depends on how long of a break you take. For just a 10hr minimum, it'll only start up once in that period if at all. If it's mild enough it won't even start. More than 10hrs is when you start to see it start up more since it doesn't quite fully charge the batteries whenever it starts up.bryan21384, BeHereNow97, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

I know the company uses Samsara, what about fuel/routing? I know I’ll find out, just bored making conversation

They suggest a route in your load notes and I think you're usually meant to follow it but I don't always follow it to a T... Shh don't tell anyone...

Mainly it's just to make repowering loads easier since most of their trucks will be on the same routes. However, when it comes to avoiding Denver, Holland is very serious about following their suggested route. I can't remember exactly why, but I think they want to avoid any possibility of drivers taking E470 because of the ridiculously high toll.
There's no mandatory fuel stops though. You can fuel at any Love's and for the reefer you can fuel anywhere if you need to top it off before dropping the trailer or something and there's not a Love's nearby.Knucklehead, ClassAOldSchool, hotrod1653 and 3 others Thank this. -
