Reminds me of a time,,,,,I was green, REALLY GREEN, late 70s, picking up a load in a covered dump trailer in Bridgman, Mi., crossed the New Buffalo on 94 scale, empty, had the green light, just get past the signal, it turns red, I figured for the truck behind me, I kept going. I get halfway down the ramp, look in my mirror, I see this fat cop waddling out to his cruiser, and he comes after me, Code 3. I pulled off before the highway, and this guy was Buford T. Justice, to the T. He ORDERS me to follow him to the next exit, turn around, come back past the scale to the next exit, turn around, and back into the scale. All that time, I'm trying to fill out the log and drive with my knees. He reams me out for not stopping and something about my bingo card ( remember those?) wasn't right. I tried to go around every scale I could.![]()
