IDK what this first kid shoots himself in the weiner with I just know I’ve made that same face, done that same dance a few times in life myself

As you should be. And I'm proud of you for teaching your kiddos something other than video games.

Average uptime is around 18 hours a day, although I do treat myself to a nap on occasion. Milking time is 5:30 morning and evening, I do have some part time help, my goal is to be here for at least 1 milking per day. I mix all the feed, do most of the feeding although my wife will feed on occasion if I get held up someplace, if I have it mixed. Breakfast is usually around 8, or whenever we get hungry and have a minute, if I have to leave on the truck right away, the missus will usually pack a lunch for me to take with. I do basic equipment, maintenance, greasing, oil, changes, etc., but I hire most of the other mechanic work out. I enjoy it, but I flat out don’t have the time to do it. as far as the shopping goes, I usually wait until I have a list of runs to make, and then try to lump a couple in together. I picked those boots up around 9 the other evening, because my dump trailer is supposed to be getting 8 new tires on it on Monday, and I dropped it off at the tire shop Friday night that way they can hit it first thing Monday morning, and just call me when it’s done. And the tire shop, was only about 3 miles away from where I got those boots. I check my truck over generally while I’m waiting to either load or unload, as far as fuel goes, I try to buy my fuel at night, because there’s not usually a waiting line at the pump, my goal is to be back on the road within 15 minutes. as far as the driving time, it varies every day, some days I’ll clock around 600 miles, and there’s other days I’ll be gone for 12 hours, and barely put 200 miles in the truck. I take the boys along different times, and my wife likes to ride along as well when possible. That’s a little more difficult to make happen now than it was 8 years ago! :) And I just asked her how much time I spend loving on her, and she said “That would be about every time you come in the house” :p such exaggeration :rolleyes: Our oldest starts school this coming fall, so at that point I will likely at least scale the trucking back pretty hard, a school schedule has no flexibility. I’ve thought about selling the truck eventually, but it’s paid for, and I feel better knowing I have a backup plan if things get tight.
