I have to ask anyone here about the term "t call". What is it and does it affect your pay? This is a term and situation that never did happen to me during my career.

    Bumper Thanks this.

It used to be a macro on Qualcomm back in the somewhat "old days" to "t call" your load. It's not necessarily just a Shaffer/Crete thing. Any company using Qualcomm used the term "t call" for dropping off a load mid trip at a terminal or drop yard before it delivered so another truck could be dispatched to cover it later. Tell a driver to t call it. Driver gets to the location and enters that macro then gets dispatched on something else or goes home or whatever the case may be.

Thanks Wulfman for the update. I never experienced that scenario. My loads were always delivered enroute.

Thanks rollin coal for that explanation. I am so old school that I never drove with any electronics just all paper logs and phone.

What does that have to do with what he was talking about? If you don't get paid for doing things like fueling and sitting in a dock, they're just robbing Peter to pay Paul when it comes to your livelihood.
