So here's the deal I live in North Georgia, I have a class b cdl as of now had it for 6 months, I also have my class a permit because I plan to get my class a once I have the money or even right opportunity pop up. I was driving a trash truck I won't name that company but that just wasn't what everybody says it is, before that I run tow trucks for 14yrs and I got burnt out on it.
I'm really looking to drive a dump truck but having problems finding a company that will take me with no experience absolutely wanna learn. I applied with all the concrete companies around here that are hiring but seems like they aren't wanting to train anyone either so idk where else to look... Anything y'all could come up with I would appreciate it !

Welcome aboard, you came to the right place. First and foremost, I wouldn't go one step further without getting the class A , THEN look for a job. Class B will only take you so far, and you can do better. Anything specialized, like dump, tank, flatbed, etc., is going to require experience in those areas. What most new drivers end up with, is van freight, because it's the least vulnerable to damage. That's not a bad thing, in fact, you may like it. Van freight is probably the least worry some. Get a year in, and many of these places, like dump or tank, will take you in and train you, but not until at least a year. Good luck, you will most certainly have to do a schooling thing, but some companies will have a job waiting, and can work off the school part. We've heard horror stories of fly by night schools take your money, and the next job won't recognize it, so just go right to a company that will put you on. You won't make the "$100,000 the 1st year", like they promised, but you'll be on your way.

The Class-B is the problem.
Braselton to Atlanta 43.65 miles.
Does it have to be dump truck?

Lots of local manufacturers can use a ClassB driver, for straight trucks, pickup trucks and trailers, etc. Any factories near?

This one may have something around the Atlanta area.
You'll have to list your location to see what's available. The website will probably open with Las Vegas because that's where I am, so change the location to your area.

KLLM might help you get the CDL-A if you'll drive there awhile.
Has a terminal in Cartersville, GA

If you live near (50miles) Dalton GA, once you get your classA, TCW will hire right out of school. They have a terminal there. Home daily and weekends off hauling containers drop and hook.

That's an excellent recommendation.
