Just came across this article in Overdrive from MATS.

While still expensive, seems to be about a 1/4 of what I have seen for having a place do a conversion of a standard sleeper. Cost appears to be about $10,000.

Little to no additional weight & no contending with increased wheelbase/length.

Looks like they have web site, Facebook, Instagram, U-Tube presence.

While I absolutely love my big bunk & it's much larger space over a standard sleeper, this would have saved a LOT of money while providing just the biggest feature really desired. May well have initially gone this route myself before taking the big leap had this been an alternative a few years ago.

Just figured some may find of interest.

That dude is hitting social media hard lately! I've seen that thing everywhere, and I'm hardly even on social media.

I like it. I wonder if the bed would be long enough for me longways behind the driver seat as it is. I've always wanted to lay out a truck interior that way.

I don't think most people (think the average size of most truckers) could fit in that tiny space to take a shower, and just barely for taking a dump.
Getting rid of the waste water and other things would not be an easy thing to do, nor would filling the fresh water tank.
I really didn't read that far into things, but what heats that much water for the shower?

Without calling or emailing to get a definite answer I would imagine a tank less water heater system.
We are campers & have seen this being the new rage being installed in many new camper lines.
It's a pretty slick system our neighbors at our campground got a new camper last yr & it has this new system installed.

Not to be an ***** about this, but can you imagine with the lazy and stupid drivers on the road today, what truck stops will smell like with toilets in the trucks?

Some of these drivers are so lazy that they dump their piss out their window and just toss a bag of crap on the ground when there is a garbage an no more than 10 feet away.

You can add shower and toilet facility to your standard truck for way under $200. You can spend less than $50 if you don't mind using some creativity.
I sometimes get the idea some drivers would starve to death unless Peterbilt starts making hamburgers that are sold at TAs. "If it's not created for the truck then it can't be used in the truck."

Tour-bus driver figured this out decades ago; park with your purge valve over a sewer grate and hit the switch......

Can you imagine what the TRUCK will smell like? Ever take an Amtrak trip in one of those "sleeperette" cars? Two people sharing a small sleeper with 1 sink and 1 toilet, in the space of a large walk-in closet.........

Back in my day, there was always the method of "hang your âšš out the down-wind door when parked over a ditch" method. Works in a pinch....
