I decided to share my reasons for picking holland enterprises and I also figured I would start a thread sharing my loads and to be here to try my best to answer questions.
So when I was looking a make my switch I used this site and was looking for long haulers that do all 48 states, people always brought up Holland it seemed so I applied and they called me the next day we talked got my questions answered and figured it sounded like everything I wanted so he pulled my reports and made me a offer same day. We set orientation for 2 weeks out they got me a rental and I was able to load it up at my old trucking company and drive to them, when I got there my truck was ready and waiting was able to load my stuff right into it from the rental car. My orientation was quick and easy, 1.5 days is all it took they went over everything and felt good about all the info I received during orientation. My truck was a 2024 with roughly 230k on it but it was clean and ready to go when I got there. In the next post I will share my reasons for picking them.

So my reasons for picking them:
1. Long length of haul
2. Free health insurance after 2 years
3. Passengers and/or pets day 1
4. Family feeling
5. Not to small and not a too big company
6. Wanted a company that would let me do my thing without always calling or messaging.
7. Wanted easy fuel options
8. Good truck maintenance plan
9. Limited downtime between loads
And I will tell you Holland still checks all of them I waited till I had been here 6 months to share thoughts and details just to make sure they weren't all talk. But its been 6 months and everything is as promised. I went 1.5 months without talking to dispatch on the phone or messaging they sent me loads I didn't them I never once got questioned on a load they leave me alone. I had my heater core go out in my truck and I called the shop talked to them 15 mins later I am at loves checking it in, and a part I like loves was try to argue with the shop saying its not what their tech thinks and Holland shop basically said we dont care we know are trucks and drivers replace the heater core that's what we are paying you for. Also so far my average length of haul is around 1600 loaded miles so I am happy with that. BUT the big thing I love that I didnt know I would is in my whole 6 months here I have never done the same load twice. I have been to some same shipper or receivers up from different places or going different places which I love since its truly something different every day every load.Lonesome, bryan21384, Cobrawastaken and 8 others Thank this. -
Now I will start sharing my loads like others have and are doing...and I will do my best to answer questions.

Waiting 6 months to give a review is ideal. Glad it’s working out for you. Throw in a few negatives along the way that way we can compare yours with ours. Good luck and safe miles.
navypoppop, Rugerfan, Lonesome and 5 others Thank this. -
There's not too much negatives that I think others might have more.
1 that can be negative sometimes but sometimes is a positive is almost all of our loads have extra time on them some are a few hours some its a day or 2, which I see as good and bad if I am ready and willing to run but than get a load that I can do a 34 on its a negative to me on the other hand I would like it if I need to balance out my recap and dont want to do a 34 or if I need to do a 34.
Next would be their layover pay if you wait 23 hours and 45 mins you dont get layover because it wasn't 24 hours that bugs me sometimes but lucky I dont sit around a lot.
Lastly they always pay us detention pay weather the broker or customers pay or not I like that and they pay fairly if I have 1hour and 1min detention they pay 2 hours... my problem is sometimes dispatch forgets to put it on your paycheck with payroll but you call and its on the next week's so I didnt like "chasing" my money but I talked with the dispatch manager about it and yet to have a problem since than. -
Sorry for the delay ended up doing a 34 on my last load, than waited a day to grab my current load which is not the normal thing to have to wait 24 hours to pick up but my trailer needs to go to the shop and get somethings fixed but needs to be empty. A previous driver hit a few things so that want it back empty so they can fix it which I like so my next load that I am currently on is:
Tacoma,WA-Motley,MN
MT:317 LD:1551
This load delivers on Friday than I will head to the yard drop this and either grab an empty or a loaded trailer from the yard not sure which yet.wulfman75, navypoppop, Bumper and 3 others Thank this. -
So dispatch had me drop the last load at the yard, a different driver was going to deliver it. They had me grab a brand new trailer and move onto my next load which I am currently getting loaded for now.
