    Yeah, I wouldn't call it a "feature".

    As if we aren't bombarded with enough ads just trying to live our lives, Dollar General will be adding an AI-powered ad bombardment system in their stores soon.

    As a wacky conspiracy theorist, I have to wonder when subliminal messaging will be included in these ads.

    It's going to be worse. Eventually they'll be equipped with cameras and the ads will be "tailored " to you and follow you around the store, but everyone around you will hear and see them as well. Buy new underwear recently? Guess what your ads are going to be. Its not going to be limited to your purchase history from the store, but linked to other stores and your Apple/Google/Facebook/YouTube. Even your TTR data will get added - not that they have any kind of permission to do so, but they can, so they will until someone stops them.

    Read "The Room" by Ray Russell or "My Flamboyant Grandson" by George Saunders to fuel your nightmares.

    I know exactly what you mean. Fueling your tractor is a nice break from the monotony of the road and these blaring ads only keep you on edge.

    A strip of cheap duct over the speaker can be your friend.

    They probably do that on purpose to keep drivers of ill repute from throwing out piss bottles or urinating in the fuel line!lol
