Well the job involves three different trades, a plumber, electrician and drywall/ painting. Me being a former organized labor man and that’s a city job contractor job. You’re looking at 450 for the plumbing, 250 for the electrical, 175 for the drywall and painting plus because you have three different trades involved that job is going to cost another 20% on top of what’s paid to the trades for Overhead and Expenses. That would cost about $1,050.00 plus cost to pull permits from the city. For another 150 so she is looking at $1200 total.

I normally take a number like that and increase by about 1/3 so they go elsewhere.

I would get that to win the bid then add another $800 for “change orders”to the bill. Then the best part is I’ll pay non Union “subcontractor” about 200 to do the job.

It would be side work for me, I already put in 50 on my feet routinely, so I not interested. If someone needs help with something stupid simple I'll do it but if they need actual work, I'm not interested, unless it's 5* outside and heater quit, at that point when you walk up to the door the card or check should be in hand.
