Ok guys my week is "over" so here's the final day.
Louisville, KY - Nashville, TN (199 miles)
Nashville, TN - HOME (241 miles)
If you tally it up, it's about 2814 miles for the week. Not bad for another tough week on the east. To whoever is reading this, please understand I do love Estes. They've been really good to me. The problem, simply is the east coast and certain terminals that get you into the vortex. (West Middlesex, PA)
Please do not let my experience, during certain weeks, or past posts from that lazy bum @jtaran06 discourage you. Excuse my frustrations at times, just giving you the raw insides of what extra board tends to be.

Starting the week on Monday instead of Sunday. I thought I'd be slick and call off yesterday because it was a run that'll lead right back to the east. (Cincinnati)
Come to work today and it's still East Coast SMH. Man! Headed to Pulaski, VA!FullMetalJacket, Rugerfan, Gomer1969 and 2 others Thank this. -
Hey everyone i just wanted to get some insight about estes extraboard in gary indiana. Is it busy there? Can i get good miles? Im currently doing team at fedex ground about 6600 miles so 3300 split. Clear about 2k a week gross about 2800 but out 6 days and only home about 20 hours 22 hours if lucky. I wanna do something different go solo but dont want to much of a pay cut. Used to work at yellow as well did teams and occasional xb work there as well so i know about being on call. Thanks for any input

You'll make more at Estes hands down. You'll start at like 80 cent extra board. I'd say some to Estes because there's growth and you'd make way more. It's not even close..I have my frustrations with that area but it's because I simply don't like the Midwest or North east.Rugerfan, navypoppop, drvrtech77 and 1 other person Thank this.

I dont mind working 6 days at estes ill do it all the time if i can really. I just been doimg teams for years and ready for a change. Im just worried about not working constantly since ill be on XB. ANother concern is working but not getting alot of miles each night.

Accidentally hit send by accident. If it was up to me id try for 5 or 6 600 mile or more days. So your saying i could def gross more than 2800 on a regular level? Ill put in the work no problem i just dont wanna fall behind with bills and all that. So much to think about lol
-
Honestly, you'll gross 2k easily without running a million miles. I'd say to to Estes if you can
-
Which would be better to run out of gary or joliet? They both are hiring and i would rather go to the busier of the two to maximize the miles.
-
From what I remember Joliet is bigger and newer. Idk how the movement is tho. Mccook is back active so they may have pulled him Joliet. All in all... I'd go Joliet

Just curious how is the road test? Its been at least 4 years since i drove a manual.i might be a lil rusty
