Because for the last 30 years anytime anyone has tried to create a mechanism to deal with this or even stringently enforce the regulations on the books the industry cries "OVER REGULATION" and starts rending it's clothes and wailing about costs.

Just look at the cheers on TTR last spring when FMCSAs budget and staff were cut.

Sorry to break it to you..but this has been going on lot longer than last year..everyone knows what you’re referencing..fact of the matter is Fmcsa has just been kicking the can down the road and finally it’s being exposed and addressed

    "For the last 30 years"

First sentence of my post. I know its been going on a long time. I also know everytime any regulatory body gets its budget or powers cut, people celebrate - as evidenced by the cheers last spring about FMCSA's budget being cut. Then those same people wonder why no one is doing anything about the glaring problem, and then call the agency ineffective, which justifies further cuts.

Trucking nationwide is literally hands down at its basic level the most required industry in America to keep the country going. Nothing is even a close second. Yet our elected officials have let it turn into basically a three ring circus out here. There is ZERO reason that the jobs the industry provides can’t be noble, respectable jobs with a future, good pay and benefits for all who chose it as a profession. Instead, what we have now is a handful of companies still believing that an offer it, despite probably the fact of the matter that they don’t if they didn’t want to and the rest? Are all just garbage. Just absolute garbage. I happen to work for one of the better ones. And I’m grateful for that. I see the industry as a whole and I get decent pay, decent, benefits, etc. etc. and I know in comparison to what’s out there they probably could get away with not offering that. But they do. It’s the overseers and those with the power that have let us down. As long as the store shelves are filled, freight gets delivered, and commerce keeps happening. This industry is basically just forgotten about. Reference back the first part of my post to put that in perspective.

I guarantee that every large carrier that leases equipment to drivers is doing the same exact thingExcept the fudging of logbooks part. Super ego gets more hate probably because it’s owned by foreigners yet majority of the drivers that lease the equipment from them are Americans.

@7:50 this atty, who’s working on the class action lawsuit is absolutely spot on correct that the FMCSA needs to make a mandatory that all dispatch operations be based in the United States not foreign countries

You sent that image to Sean Duffy? Lol. Duffy will probably send you a smiley face emoji or maybe a good job sticker. I bet that took some serious scrolling to find that funky pic. Makes me think of all those drivers who send some content to Bonehead Truckers hoping that their clip will make it on the next episode. :D

Well, speaking of the matter, you don’t care if these companies break the law and there’s a very good reason why you don’t because you’re basically the same category as these criminals are…
