Yeah I figured, you've been retired longer than a lot of posters here have been driving. I started driving in 2000 at a small regional company with 150 Qualcomm equipped trucks, 400 trailers and I remember "t-calling" many loads.

I was near the end of my career then. I began doing in 1969 and retired in 2011. My first truck was an A40 Mack with 707ci gas engine with 2 stick 10 spd. Duplex. Slow as hell, strong arm steering and no comfort options. But I was a truck driver!48Packard, kemosabi49, Knucklehead and 9 others Thank this.

I believe they term that as equity or equitable in today's world. I believe in the notion that we are created equal. Equity is the complete opposite.Lonesome Thanks this.

Ah the joys of breakdowns on a Friday.
On i76, west of Brush CO. Rolling along and all of a sudden windshield wipers start swiping by themselves. The dashboard lights up. Get multiple alarms. Air pressure gauge quits, fuel gauge quits but DEF keeps going. Get a high voltage warning on battery, high axle temp indicator. A/C quits, windows won't roll down. Stereo quits. Cruise control quits, assisted brake quits, cruise quits. I'm sure if this had an ejection seat, that would quit too...lol
Sent to a shop in Sidney NE, get there 3h before they close. Diagnosed as a ground issue. Ordered parts but won't be in til Monday. Stuck in the motel unless home terminal can find an empty truck...but as im in the middle of nowhere, probably won't find one
