I will try to make this short and simple. I've been driving for 19 years at the same company. They run little Hot Shots carrying their own product. They purchased a $5,500 so they could have a sleeper on the truck and save some company money but of course I have to have my CDL. I went to one of the schools that was listed in the South Carolina DOT system. Lucky me being 50 years old now I had a heart attack. So I had to take all the written test again and get another permit which was no big deal. The problem is that guy that was in their system as a school did not do anything on the computer. I found out later that was the ELDT. I called and called them but they no longer answer the phone and the DMV says that company is not in their listing anymore so I guess he went out of business is only thing I can think of. So the lady at the DMV said I need to go online and take that test which is really just a bunch of videos of common knowledge. I went to ELDT Nation and did that. I finished that then scheduled my skills test. The DMV calls me and tells me they have a red X beside my ELDT and I need to call the FMCSA to get it removed. Those people have not called me back yet. I need desperately to get back to work. I am not a sit around and do nothing kind of person and I am flat broke.. I went back to the DMV and the man that gives the test said I'm probably going to need a sign off and I don't know what he's talking about. How do I get this done? I have to do something. So I called the CDL help desk before the state and they said I would need a sign off. I don't know what they're talking about but how is the school going to sign off when he no longer answers the phone?. Not telling everybody my business but I'm not afraid to say my power got turned off two weeks ago. I need some help guys

ELDT is Entry Level Driver Training. Usually that is some combination of classroom and in cab driving hours.

Did the "school" give you some kind of certificate of completion?

A point of reference for you.

When you have a conversation and the person who says something you don't understand, please ask them to explain what they just said or to say it another way so you can understand what they mean. How are other people who don't have your brain and didn't just have that conversation supposed to know what another stranger meant when he said something? You can also ask them to write down what you need on paper or to email you what you need in order to fix the problem.

I CAN GUESS that the clerk at the DMV says you need some proof you have completed the ELDT training. If that is what the DMV clerk means then you need to have a certificate or email from the ELDT provider (did you say it was ELDT Nation?) saying you have completed the training. If the providers of ELDT training communicate directly with the State then keep asking ELDT Nation every day to update your completion of ELDT training and report that to the state.

The FMCSA don't explain anything. They send emails. I received another email from FMCSA. They explained that what happened was the original place I went to do the school just did Range and public road. The school did not do the small video portion of the ELDT. That was the part that DMV had first told me I needed them to do. So after my heart attack I went to the website they told me to go to which was ELDT nation and did that. They said the problem was range and public road was not done within one year of the ELDT video portion. So since the guy that I got from their list that was in Clearwater Florida called Fast Pass was no longer in business or answering the phone I have to do range and public road again which is basically the entire #### school over. Long story short what it looks like is on their list of reputable School vendors of course I picked the one that was trash. Now I have to do all of that over again. You talking about ### people again you can ask these people all you want to they tell you to get in touch with the FMCSA because it's on their side. The FMCSA only sends emails but after 3 days I finally got someone to call me back which she stated her her words she was just a phone rep. Some of you act like you never been to the DMV before. You can ask them all kind of questions but nothing is never on them you need to get in touch with somebody else that's what happened. So yet again the trucking industry is so screwed up crying about they need drivers but it's so #### hard to get into for new CDL. I tried not to pay attention for years about people saying how screwed up this industry was but this is just it showing its ugly head again. I called and left a message for another Fast Pass place to give me a call to see if there's something they can do but I'm sure with it being connected to the trucking industry is going to screw me and say the same thing as well. I hope they're not just like everything else and say why would we do something for we can only get paid once where we can get paid twice.

If there is a rule you need to complete Range, Public Road, & ELDT all within 1 year then that's what you have to do. Nobody is blaming you for having a heart attack. I hope you are recovering well. But the rule is the rule. Either do the 3 courses again, or do over whichever courses are now more than 12 months ago.

The FMCSA email must explain something or they would not send the email. If it's not a blank email it says something. If it says you did not complete Range, Public Road, & ELDT within 12 months that's the problem you need to solve. If the email says something else fix that problem. We can't read the email for you & we didn't have the phone conversations you had. You need to write down what was said in the conversation when you hang up or record a note to yourself when it ends. Remembering what was said or what you read is a necessary part of trucking. We can help you but only if you describe your problem.
