So I pulled into a rest stop because the sign lights were flashing. Two officers were busy checking other trucks. They never paid me any attention, but I pulled up and waited. Finally after they ignored me for a while I just left. Do you guys typically just go around if they’re busy with another truck or do you stop? I got ran down once in Arkansas for passing a wide spot that had an officer checking out a truck and I didn’t stop. He said if blue lights are on you’re supposed to. Other times like today they seem to expect you to just go around if they’re busy.
How to know if you should stop for DOT checkpoint.

Power out!!cke, FearTheCorn, W923 and 10 others Thank this. -
Let me guess PA? They like to do that #### of setting up in a rest area and then sit in their van fondling each other. I will roll through but if they don't actively do anything to get my attention then I just keep rolling.
I wouldn't have stopped for that AR guy either. Unless there's a sign that says "All trucks must stop" I'm going to assume he pulled that guy over for something and roll right past him. -
I wouldn’t have stopped for the Arkansas guy either. Unless they are pointing at me I just keep doing what I’m doing. Which includes trying my best not to make eye contact

Close. New York.cke, Feedman, TheLoadOut and 4 others Thank this.

Ahh man that was my second guess. I almost put PA/NY but man I don't think I've ever seen a NY scale open.cke, JolliRoger, Feedman and 6 others Thank this.

Yeah, I just roll through if I don't get a hand signal.
Yeah, those AR guys on 64 between Alma and Van Buren. They pull over in the wide spots and turn their lights on, zero signage, and expect you to hammer the brakes and pull in.
F those MF'ers, I roll past them too. Ain't got chased yet, but it's comin -
It’s like rolling across the scales at the coop. Some times the bear will stand at the bypass lane. If he wants you to stop, he will point and signal you to stop. If they don’t point and signal, I am not going to volunteer to stop.

I was told that they had installed cameras and scales on 64 to catch the ones going around the coop on 40. Any truth to that?cke, Trucker61016, JolliRoger and 6 others Thank this.
