There are cameras and a deal in the road on the eastbound side right in front of Alma truck center. I have still went around every time without fail and never had any issues. I’m fairly certain an officer has to be monitoring them to cause you any pain and suffering. When we had that slaughter cow deal for Cargill I come through there plenty heavy and never heard a peep about it

That, and flock cameras too right before the Frog Bayou bridge. I'm not sure, but I know several of the local DOT, and they tell me that they watch the cameras (if they're working 64) on the off ramps at exit 13 WB and exit 5 EB.

If a truck rolls off those and then down 64 they'll watch them closely.

Even with me knowing several of the guys fairly close, and as local as one can get, I've never crossed the scales on 40 in my truck. I won't cross that WB OK one either.

I'll roll through Fort Smith into Roland OK and hit 40 at the 325, or hop on 540 into OK, and hit 40 in Sallisaw at the 308.

They will stop you and direct you if they want to investigate you further. If no one is directing you, keep moving.
Not to be confused with weigh stations where you always pay attention to the light signals.

I don't cross that OK coop either. I get off at the 1 @ Dora & go around. I get tired of getting a red light on the prepass coming back east,so if they want me they can get me on 64.

I had been drivng several years and it musta been around 2006, I was southbound through Pineville, (alexandria) La. I had been through there a lot since its only about 100 miles from where I live. There used to be a little dinky dog house kinda thing for a scale house and an old scale. It didnt even have a parking area, just a drive in and out with scales. For years, I had never seen anybody there. I dont think it had any kind of open/closed signs at all. I run by there and a DOT guy was in there. This was back when Louisiana had "Weights & Standards" division. He come tearing outta there like a wildcat was on his tail and pulled me over. He wanted to know why I didnt stop. I said I had been by there at least 100 time in the last 25 years and never seen anybody there. He said; It dont matter, if its a scale house you gotta pull in. He asked for my paperwork... looked at it.. handed it back and walked off.
I thought, is today your first day??? Geeze.. Idiot.

I never stopped by there after that. Finally the state tore that thing down... lol.

they inspect 1 truck at a time, when done, they signal the next truck approaching to pull in as the inspected truck is pulling out.
