You should go to King City.

That was always The OM's favorite.

I arrived at the indigenous shipper awhile ago, and has dropped and hooked. Taking my ten(10) here.

Did a four(4) mile sojourn looking for ELIZABETH, and to get some paperwork printed.

Stopped and got another eight(8) piece, and a big bag of deli chips.

Also scored this $5 Friday's Chinese bowl, and this DUDE figured I was homeless, so he put almost no rice in it, and all meat( Korean something and it was F good ) L0L

I have something similar I self engineered to do that. It consists of a small rectangle of plywood, 4 inches wide, about twenty long. 3/4 pine strips around the edges with foam weather stripping on it. A hole for a shop vac is how we achieve the suction, a little tuck tape to seal it to the hole. Once in place and on you can whack the plywood to close the gap up. Sometimes a very thin putty knife will help guide the top over the bottom as it meets. You can customize the size as desired, keep in mind that the more surface area under vacuum, the greater the holding force. For actual hardwood, I don’t believe it would work. If it’s moving that much, there are bigger problems. I use a similar system for moving and lifting stone slabs IMG_0249.jpeg
The vacuum hose goes into it underneath, keeps bending over down, and no one loses a finger tip trying to lay a running bond pattern. The rope is just to have an easy to adjust grip for pulling them off of pallets at waist height and to easily adjust to have it just off of the ground. Saves dragging one slab off of the pallet and damaging the one below it

Lowes floating floor I had in 2009 was only glued at sides, not ends and rested on a plastic bubble base.
So, if it 's glue was dry/weak enough to let it slip to open then it would slip back. Agree on the nailed down oak.
Like moonshine whiskey, device was made to sell, not maker used... Caveat Emptor...
