My dad, grandpa, and two of my uncles all have to go every year and get things burned ur cut out of them. This year my dad had to use a cream on his head and face that scabbed him up like crazy. I’ll be due here soon I’m sure.

EGR valve stuck wide open on mine, got it deleted about 3-4 weeks ago, I knew we were staring at a clutch job in the face, so I scheduled it to happen while we were planting corn. Two days before it was scheduled to go to the shop, some part of the linkage broke, and the clutch pedal fell flat on the floor and stayed right on the floor. Got that scabbed back together, ran it another day or two, then got my new clutch. Ever since I’ve had the truck, it would randomly bind in gear when you go to shift, only occasionally, but often enough I knew the trans was tender. That, and the fact that you could turn the PTO on without using the clutch, just throw it into gear and it wouldn’t even grind, just click and work. well, we put The transmission back in it, and you couldn’t get it out of gear, clutch or no clutch. So my clutch job turned into a clutch job and a new transmission.

Sorry for the unforeseen extra expense, but another link in the power is known good. Inch on up to a complete rebuild in a few years.
It is fix or buy new, and new is not worth the difference.

I don’t see myself ever buying a brand new truck. I used to think that looked like the ultimate goal, but now I’d rather just fix up an old one. Either a Peterbilt 359, or a A model Kenworth.

    I think that was me.

Glad you approve. I could go for some more now myself.
