Picked up that load on the outer banks the previous Monday took it up to St Clair, Michigan to have another take it across the border. The ended up being a paper work issue with the manifest, so I sat up there for two days while they got that situation squared away. He paid me $400 for sitting up there.

On Thursday I deadheaded to Philo, Ohio to pick up a load, I got loaded heading to Birmingham, but just as he got on the interstate my DM called me and said the consignee had cancelled the order, so I turned around, went back to the shipper and dumped the product. That load was going to be my get home load.

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday last weekend, so after discussing the options with dispatch he offered to pay for my fuel to just bounce home empty from Ohio. Which I did. I ended up getting home mid morning on Saturday, and we agreed I would come back out Tuesday.

This week I left the house Tuesday and loaded silicon manganese in Mobile going to Cayce, SC.

The next morning I bounced to Wilmington, NC and loaded Eura going to Moncure, NC for a same day delivery. I arrived at 1500, I sat there for 21 hours waiting for the bin to have enough room to accept the product. ? Why order several truck loads of product if you don’t have freaking room for said product? We’ll see if I get compensation for that shat show.

From there I headed back to the outer banks for another Canada load. The driver will supposedly take my trailer across Sunday afternoon. This week should be at least a $4K net week, and even more if I get detention for the Moncure load.

Definitely averaging less miles here every week, but the ppm makes up for the lower miles.

How much better would it work out for you if you were to complete the loads across the border? Or still not worth the headache?

    Friend and runningman0661 Thank this.

The hold up is the paperwork/manifest issue from the Canada side. This NC job will be finished within the next two weeks so after that I don’t know how much Canada work there will be.

I Might consider getting a passport down the road, we’ll see.

My trailer has had a hydraulic fluid leak for the last 6 weeks or so, I’ve been bugging my dispatcher to get me through NLR. Pulled right into the trailer shop this morning, got the male hose replaced on the trailer, got the trailer PM done, and had the wet kit shop replace the female coupler just to be sure we got the issue resolved.
