Things that make you go “hmmmmm”…

    1. “Tastes like chicken.” I might as well stick with chicken.
    2. “Tastes like meat.” If you don’t eat meat, why would you want anything that tastes like meat?

Learned some things about that engine back in my “let’s build hot rods” days. The bottom end is quite beefed, but the block is cast thinner than other big blocks from GM. Something like 200 lbs lighter than a 454. They don’t like being pushed on the horsepower or RPM. Lessons of youth, the hard way.

Never seen mustard on bbq before, guess I’ll have to try it.

I put some apple butter in the edge of my oats for breakfast, just a little with a spoonful of oats is quite good, at least to me it is. Wife’s family makes apple butter every October, nice to have something other than store bought….

Good homemade rye: from the old master in Flora, MS, was like good smooth bourbon and coke in a gallon jug. One of the benefits of working for Tom Riddell Trucking; in 1954, for $75 a week and all expenses paid. Always a jug on hand in the New Paragon Gin office..
