Good to see you back. I hadn’t seen much out of you on the forums I follow, and was starting to worry about you.
    Back in your own truck?

yep spent the winter rebuilding the engine in this truck. Went out for my first load like a month ago and had an injector stick open and it took out the turbo too ... Well it ran good today thru some pretty steep mountains fully loaded so hopefully i can actually start bringing in money instead of spending it... Lol

Manuel trailer a little rough on the Teflon on that aluminum fifth wheel.? My 2000 has an aluminum fifth wheel and I can't use a manual very long before I gotta replace the Teflon. It's going back to steel fifth wheel.

Yeah it tears it up for sure. The trailer is so hard to pickup fully loaded. And the 5th wheel sits up even higher than normal cuz of the fenders. I really could use a couple more inches shorter in height. Even dropping a 4x4 under the trailer, helps but its still a pain.. i like the no grease 5th wheel because i always seem to make a mess when i grease a normal one, but i think its best for not a manual neck trailer with how much abuse it takes

Doing a local load of poles for the folks here in Eloy, then loading 35K of roll-up mini storage doors to deliver in Gardnerville NV first thing Friday morning. Then bounce to Fernley for a load of poles going to Sacramento. If I want, I can drop the trailer @ the yard, sneak home for a couple of days and unload first thing Tuesday..

Good to see you back out here! Had an old farmer tell me one time that everybody has setbacks, what separates a good man from the rest is how he responds to them. Looks to me like you've met yours head on and you've got every reason to be proud of yourself.

Started the week playing Intermodal driver.

    20260427_160430~2.jpg

Then gave a try at my best Tanker impression.

    20260428_123037~2.jpg

Now we do a bit of car hauling. Got a call at 1:30 this morning from my sister that they hit a truck tire in the middle of I65 and ####ed up their van on the way to Florida. Finished unloading that tank at 6:30 am in Chicago and went home to get my pickup and trailer.

7 hours later I found the van with a destroyed bumper, AC condenser, and radiator. Even found what I'm pretty sure is the remains of the super single cap they nailed. #### anybody who just leaves this #### in the middle of the highway.

Luckily nobody is hurt. Now for the 7 hour drive back home and a few hours of sleep before work tomorrow. Easy 1200 mile day like back when I was allowed a coloring book.

Kingman to Eloy - didn't move an inch.

I wasn't sure whether to give credit to Arizona's super well maintained roads or my slow and silky smooth driving.

So after thinking about it for a while I went and bought a lottery ticket.
