A trooper friend once told me try running as fast as you can towards a brick wall , don't slow down with your legs , stop yourself with your arms . And multiply that by ten or so. I've always worn my seatbelt since then.

I still don’t wear a seat belt. I’ve been in a couple bad accidents. Never been thrown out of the seat. But with two arm rests down and a steering wheel in the way. I don’t know where you will go. Unless you roll. In which case you don’t have control regardless.

I do however drape it across me so I don’t get a ticket. Idk. I probably don’t do it just because they said I have to do it.

I really just don’t like it restricting my movements while I’m riding.

I think the biggest reason I have to wear it in the truck is being a smaller guy and they build these seats for big dudes. I feel like I'm just sliding around bouncing off the armrests without it. I do take it off when I'm running something big through town because I'm moving all over the place trying to make sure I don't buy a light pole.

Almost every bad wreck Ive seen with a truck the steer axle is either gone or the linkage is so broken that you can't control it even if it stays upright.

The real issue here is I'm a dummy..
    Trooper Warrior done fooled me..

He passed me in the hammer, then slowed his roll.. Got my attention by wiggling his seatbelt at me.

Like a dumb@$$ I popped up & leaned forward to give him a clear look.

I reckon ain't no way he could see from down low in that cruiser,
me sunk in the seat, whole body behind the B pillar wearing a dark gray t shirt..

Shoulda been more on my game..

Lost my older sister because she didn't have her belt on. Pickup really wasn't that badly damaged, we figured that she took the belt off and was reaching for something on the other side of the cab.

I wear mine (almost) all the time after that, rarely wore it before.

I ain't saying it's the best way to work on the underside of a trailer, but it's a way. PXL_20260429_160731743.jpg

Makes me cringe that no one reloaded instead of junking them. I see 9mm, 44 mag, 22-250, 30-6 just to name a few…..
