Muck Boots 'n' Slickers - Life of a Livestock Hauler

Them rubber boots... Open top....Pants outside get s.it all over.. Inside, get full of s.it and shavings/bedding. I used a pair of great big oversized buckle up rubber boot to load and wander the pens. They rode tween the cab and saddle tank. Air dried in a few miles, rained on upside down, clean for next time. Benefit of day cab kept the smell outside.

 

. No white guy is ever going to approve that shift lever and the extra chrome on the steering column I don’t care for but the rest is nice 3 colors giving contrast which adds to the overall beauty. I find the most beautiful things in life have contrast like a half naked woman with tan lines.

 

Well; something to be said for the attraction of a fully naked woman, with the tattoo of a kitten on her belly, and an arrow pointing down.

A reminded funny...
Our company bought 2 small loan offices in Meridian; the fore runner to Pay Day, by being only up to $50.00.
A woman managed each, Our company supervisor was down from West Point to get them in sync on forms, reporting to Atlanta, etc.
When back he was questioned, mainly about the women numbers (1-10). He went into detail and it seemed it might be worth running down there and welcoming them in to our fold.
That was killed quickly when he said both were a little deformed. Their right arms were much larger and developed than their left.
Then he explained. Largest loan made was $50.00, hence a lot of loan sets and repetitious interest/charges computation...
And they still used the old hand pulled manual adding machines.
I knew him; and am sure he made the needed break in points, by getting them 2 new electrics.
He had been a Navy cook, so score one for the sailors/...

 

When you hear air leaking as you turn into your first stop and hope it's a simple fix but find this instead.


So you lose two hours getting it fixed, have to take your lunch while waiting so you have enough time to get everything done and it's going to suck.

But then you deliver to a farm at your last stop and get to check out a numbered 359.

It turns out to be a great day after all.

Maybe 40 years ago with massive amounts of beer in my system while at Panama City, I could have done that! I may have even thought about it around that time.
