It's amazing how nice and civilized other cultures are compared to a lot of rude ### Americans.

The OM and I used to stop and pet cows all the time.

Was getting to where we couldn't drive through Kansas.

They ran some fiber optic cables here in town. For some reason they didn't come down my street.

Interesting read there: Came with no body, customer supplied/ Then later, did offer a factory body.

Somewhere I read an article on the name: "Pickup" truck Reputed to be from Ford shipping them crated by rail. You picked up at the depot, installed the wheels/tires/etc. Then flipped the crate up on the chassis for a body. Hence a depot pickup truck...

Just mulling... Ford did not offer body. Some good ole trucker scalped the crate as a body. Ford saw this trend, so prolly redesigned the crate to appear more as a body. Picked up the cost of the crate by a little more material and a lot of advertising. Henry Ford knew how to make money.
