That factory is close to Reno, Nevada.
Good place for jobs for truckers and non-truckers.

...probably good for local work if charging station installed on site
    I heard crazy incentives
hard to tell how much range you have in winter hauling freight
I have tesla and in Chicagoland it is charged twice as often for same commute as in warm months

Its where all manufacturers are going wrong in my view. They are all shooting for long haul with no infrastructure or grid compacity. They would be better focusing on local semi logistics of 250 mile and charge over night with off peak power. As confidence and demand grows so does a charging network, charging speeds and range. Or they should be standardising battery swapping so it can all be done by robots and lazes in 10 minutes, rather then building a truck around a battery and how fast it charges, which ultimately puts huge stain on grids outside of the big smoke. Plus it happens to drop a cell, and the odd one will, its far easier, cheaper, and faster to have it repaired/replaced.

Been trying to buy an electric truck ever since Elon announced one in 2017. I do 400km a day of local logistics off the top of a mountain full and return empty. I get free energy/miles from regen braking rather than just loose it in heat with exhaust braking. In Australia however our governance, energy grid, dealers, and dealer training and technical support have all done FA over the past 10+ years except culture apathy for an E future. A big man needs a bid diesel to drive a big country still prevails.

Currently I can get a Windrose that looks like a Tesla. I looked at a Deepway last week which is China's first E-truck of their design and making. And have tried for a Volvo in the past but they lost interest in me as I didn't want 10. Both Chinese products are aerodynamic long haul lookers that do between 400 to 600km. So with no infrastructure to fast charge are sadly going to miss the mark. Tesla still MIA but really they are all to big and long for local logistics. The Volvo is a converted FM, so works, but has a dumb price.

Energy at 15c p/kW and 1.2 km/kW works for me compared to diesel at $3 p/lt and 2.1 km/lt. Can't see diesel going back to where it was before Donny kicked off his little #### show. I can see a bigger #### show however develop between China and America. As really its all about stopping China overtake America, and control of oil is first base.

My comments on battery swapping come from watching Chinese videos like above. Makes sense to swap and go and makes pumping gas look slow. Still a drive through may be a little way off as the haters will be spinning one can get incinerated in the unstoppable fire if #### goes sideways. I can see, or want really, a future of swap and goes instead of gas stations across the nation. Might be dreamy but when renewables are significantly cheaper then fossil fuel its hard to see oil controlling destiny. Especially energy can be made form the sun its hard to compete against. Elon in one his moments when he was not buzzing like a fridge, believes a solar array 100x100 mile would power the whole of the US. Imagine that.
