Me and the other half are go’n on 32 years and about halfway into it we decided that the only thing with an engine that she gets to operate is HER buggy— whatever buggy she wants and whatever it costs that she can afford — it has eliminated the carnage to garden hose/rocks through windows/scalped dogs/…. Never mind— it’s kind of a strain sometimes and most of our #### is old but it runs and I just have to do PM on it— something to think about

I know yall will think Im lyin (and I dont blame ya), but this is a true story. A pardner of mine has a larger lawn care service with a bunch of commercial accounts. He has all types of people working for him, a crosscut of society so to speak. They start early and go late so they cut wet grass routinely. Guy noticed a particular mower required blade replacement quite often and inquired. His lead man started watching the emplyee more closely and found that if the mower gummed up with wet trimmings, the dude woukld run across a gravel driveway or side of road into the rocks or slag and blast the wet grass loose from the deck. Consequently blade life suffered.

And them old F tags had the first slotted holes. Made it easier to swap it to the truck you were gonna use that day, as the bumper holes were not uniform in those days... Now they got tags from: drive out, to in transit, to pay cash and haul freight.

Long way from the Mississippi Sherriff and Tax Collector days...
In October you could get all your tags in the mail, mail him back a check and done...
Separated the offices; changed renewal to a cycling date from when you registered the truck, and go down and stand in line.
